Second collection at Mass on March 11th/12th

There is a second collection at Masses in the diocese this weekend (March 11/12) to fund the work of working groups set up by the Irish Bishops’ Conference. 

These are known as Bishops’ Commissions and they are involved in an array of activities in Ireland and abroad which provide leadership, formation, pastoral care and ministry to the People of God.

Each commission is served by lay people (who are paid) as well as by clergy and religious.

Job Vacancy: Parish Secretary

Applications are invited for a part-time role as Parish Secretary based in Clonakilty Parish.

The hours will be Monday to Friday: 9.30am to 1.30pm.

The successful candidate will work closely with the team of priests serving the six parishes of our family of parishes and will assist in meeting the administrative needs of the parishes as well as responding to enquiries from parishioners.

We’re looking for a person who is excited by serving others, a good organiser, flexible and discreet and gets on well with people in a variety of situations. A reasonable familiarity with the daily life of a parish is an advantage.

Essential skills: Clear communication, very good with people and with IT, diary management, filing and recording.

Mass times for Jan 6th – Holyday

The Mass times for the feast day are shown for our family of parishes.

Masses in Clonakilty are on Thursday eve at 7pm and on Friday 6th at 10am and 7pm.
